Research shows that for every 10°C increase in ambient temperature, the chemical reaction rates of various components in drugs will accelerate by 3 to 4 times. At the same time, both strong light and high temperature will significantly increase the risk of drug deterioration.
The following are the temperature standards for various medical cold storages:
Pharmaceutical cool storage: The temperature range is 8°C - 20°C, mainly used for the storage of conventional drugs; the relative humidity requirement is 45% - 75%.
Vaccine cold storage: The temperature range is 0°C - 8°C, suitable for the storage of vaccines and some pharmaceutical preparations.
Blood cold storage: The temperature range is -5°C - 1°C, which can be used for the storage of blood and some biological products.
Plasma cold storage: The temperature range is -20°C - -30°C, suitable for the storage of plasma, biological materials and some vaccines.
