Insect Monitoring Light: Integrating Optoelectronics, IoT, and AI for Precision Pest Control

The Insect Monitoring Light integrates modern optoelectronic, numerical control, and other technologies in its working principle. It utilizes a specific light source, typically a 20W blacklight tube with a main wavelength of 365nm, which emits light highly attractive to pests, causing them to approach the insect monitoring light at night. Once pests approach, the monitoring light captures them using an impact screen made of high-transparency glass, forming a 120-degree angle. The single screen measures 595±2mm in length, 213±2mm in width, and 5mm in thickness, with a special structure effectively intercepting pests.

After capturing pests, the insect-killing process begins. The FT-CQ1 employs a far-infrared insect body treatment chamber for insecticidal purposes. After operating for 15 minutes, the temperature reaches 85℃±5℃. This high-temperature environment rapidly kills pests with a lethality rate of no less than 98%, while ensuring the insect body integrity rate is not less than 95%, preserving good samples for subsequent insect body analysis.

Following insecticidal treatment, to facilitate clear photography and accurate identification, insect bodies need to be dispersed. The Insect Monitoring Light is equipped with a vibration device that vibrates the trapped insects, making them evenly spread and lie flat on the conveyor belt, avoiding accumulation and ensuring each insect's features can be clearly photographed. The conveyor belt accurately transports all trapped insect bodies to the shooting area of the high-definition camera device. The FT-CQ1 insect monitoring light has a built-in 500W pixel image acquisition device, capable of clearly distinguishing each insect body. The captured images have a clarity meeting the requirements for manual insect species identification. The camera uses a plug-in method for convenient on-site replacement.

After photographing, the insect monitoring light uses wireless transmission technology and IoT technology to upload the captured insect images and environmental meteorological data in real time to a designated agricultural cloud platform. Users can remotely view pest conditions by logging into the cloud platform without visiting the field.

The cloud platform supports remote operations such as snapshotting, manual/auto mode switching, chamber temperature setting, heating, insect transfer, and working time setting, improving management efficiency. The self-training AI algorithm continuously learns and identifies new pest species. It automatically analyzes image data through the AI algorithm to quickly and accurately identify pest species, reducing manual intervention. Combined with users' review and correction of AI analysis results based on actual conditions, it enhances the accuracy and reliability of pest situation analysis.

The Insect Monitoring Light is a widely used plant protection machine that can real-time and accurately monitor the occurrence and development of pest infestations, providing farmers and agricultural workers with timely and effective pest warning information, assisting in formulating scientific and reasonable prevention and control strategies, and reducing pest losses.
