The Beidou Weather Station is an independently developed automated meteorological monitoring device that integrates Beidou-3 short message communication with meteorological monitoring technology. It features autonomous operation, real-time transmission, and intelligent monitoring capabilities, enabling 24/7 uninterrupted monitoring of meteorological environmental changes in areas with no or weak signal coverage. It has been widely applied in meteorological support across China.
The Beidou Weather Station is an automated monitoring device that deeply integrates Beidou-3 regional short message communication technology with meteorological environmental monitoring technology. This device possesses core functions such as autonomous operation, real-time transmission, intelligent monitoring, and accurate forecasting, enabling 24/7 uninterrupted monitoring of meteorological environmental changes. Unlike traditional meteorological monitoring equipment that relies on terrestrial communication networks, the Beidou Weather Station transmits data through the Beidou satellite short message channel, effectively solving the environmental monitoring challenges in areas with no or weak signal coverage. Currently, this equipment is widely used throughout China, providing crucial technical support for weather forecasting and environmental early warning systems.
In terms of technical architecture, the BeiDou weather station adopts an integrated eight-element sensor design, capable of simultaneously observing eight meteorological elements in real time: ultrasonic wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, optical rainfall, total radiation, and negative oxygen ions. The sensor outputs all eight parameters to the user at once via a digital communication interface, enabling continuous online monitoring of outdoor meteorological parameters. Compared to traditional ultrasonic weather stations, this device overcomes the reliance on high-precision timers and avoids measurement errors caused by sensor start-up delays, demodulation circuit delays, and temperature changes, significantly improving measurement accuracy and stability.
Regarding data transmission, the BeiDou weather station comes standard with a BeiDou data transmission terminal, powered by a regulated DC12 power supply with a current of 3A, a transmission power of 36W, and a standby power of only 1W, exhibiting low-power operation characteristics. The device comes standard with a BeiDou card with a transmission capacity of 260 bytes, providing one year of message service. The low-power design allows the device to operate stably for extended periods in remote areas using clean energy sources such as solar power, reducing maintenance costs and energy dependence.
The BeiDou meteorological station has applications spanning multiple fields, including meteorological monitoring, environmental early warning, agricultural production, and disaster prevention and mitigation. In areas without terrestrial network coverage, such as forest fire prevention, grassland monitoring, marine observation, and plateau scientific expeditions, the equipment can independently complete meteorological data acquisition and transmission tasks. The integrated design of the eight-element sensor simplifies equipment installation and maintenance processes, lowering the operational threshold for users. The widespread application of this equipment provides a reliable technical means to improve my country's meteorological monitoring network layout and enhance meteorological support capabilities in extreme environments.
