Tunnels are enclosed spaces with poor air circulation, and due to complex traffic structures and heavy traffic volumes, poor ventilation can easily lead to the accumulation of harmful gases such as smoke particles and carbon monoxide (CO). This significantly reduces visibility inside the tunnel and sharply increases the concentration of harmful gases, posing serious safety hazards to drivers, pedestrians, and construction personnel. In the event of a traffic jam, personal safety is greatly threatened.
As a key channel in modern transportation systems, tunnels serve as core infrastructure connecting different regions and promoting economic development. Their safety and traffic efficiency have increasingly drawn attention from all parties.
To assist relevant departments in efficiently managing the internal environment of tunnels, Fengtu has carefully developed the COVI Tunnel Visibility Detector, a specialized device for monitoring and evaluating visibility inside tunnels.
The Fengtu Tunnel visibility detector consists of a transmitting/receiving cylinder, a reflecting cylinder, a fixed bracket, a 4G antenna, and a housing, with an IP65 protection rating. It boasts multiple highlights: simultaneous monitoring of multiple parameters, precise data measurement, intelligent alarm functions, support for multiple signal output methods, and Bluetooth configuration compatibility.
The device is equipped with a reserved downward 485 serial port, which can connect to other monitoring devices such as wind speed, wind direction, light, and carbon dioxide sensors, allowing flexible customization according to actual needs and on-site conditions. The COVI Tunnel Visibility Detector also integrates advanced automatic compensation functions, which can intelligently identify and compensate for numerical deviations caused by equipment aging from long-term operation and environmental dirt, fully ensuring the accuracy and reliability of monitoring data.
