After natural disasters such as earthquakes and mudslides occur, the communication and power infrastructure in the disaster-stricken areas is often severely damaged, and the conventional meteorological monitoring systems are unable to operate normally. This is when the Portable Weather Station comes in handy.
It is a miniature weather station that is very compact in size and light in weight. It is composed of sensors and a stand. It can be folded up in normal times, so it has the attribute of portability.
The emergency Portable Weather Station launched by Fengtu Technology adopts a multi-in-one ultrasonic sensor, which can monitor key meteorological parameters such as wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, humidity, and air pressure in real time.
During the rescue work in the ruins after an earthquake, there may be rainy weather, and the rescue workers need accurate rainfall amount and rainfall duration, which is helpful for the deployment of rescue operations. The Portable Weather Station collects rainfall information through the rainfall module in the sensor and uses the data transmission module to send these data wirelessly to the rescue command center. Based on this information, the rescue workers can plan the rescue route in advance, avoid areas where landslides may occur, and prevent secondary disasters from causing harm to the rescue workers and the trapped people.
In addition to post-disaster meteorological emergency rescue, the Portable Weather Station can also be used for meteorological support in outdoor events.
For example, in large-scale outdoor events such as marathons and cross-country races, there are a large number of participants and the race courses are relatively long. The meteorological conditions have a direct impact on the physical condition of the athletes and their race results. Therefore, the Portable Weather Station can be flexibly deployed at multiple points along the race course to provide comprehensive meteorological services for the event organizers.
During the race, the mobile weather station continuously collects meteorological data at different positions on the race course. When the temperature is too high, the monitoring system will quickly issue a warning. According to this information, the event organizers can add cooling equipment and anti-heatstroke medications at the supply points, and provide athletes with sufficient drinking water and electrolyte beverages to prevent heatstroke and other situations. In addition, the wind speed and wind direction data will affect the race results of events such as cycling and sailing. By transmitting these data in real time, the race referees can reasonably adjust the race rules to ensure the fairness of the race.
