Lightning monitor is a high-precision lightning monitoring and early warning device with a measurement range of -100kV/m to 100kV/m, a 3-second fast response, and transmits electric field monitoring data via Modbus-485. Lightning monitor is a high-precision detection device specifically designed for lightning monitoring and early warning. The device captures lightning signals by sensing changes in the atmospheric electric field and can continuously collect on-site monitoring data for extended periods. It is an important hardware facility in lightning disaster prevention and control. The overall casing of the device is made of 6061 aluminum alloy, which can adapt to complex outdoor installation environments in all weather conditions, reducing equipment damage caused by wind and rain, and ensuring long-term stable operation in the field.
The Lightning monitor measurement range covers -100kV/m to 100kV/m, with a measurement accuracy of ±0.001% F.S. Its 3-second response time allows for rapid capture of abrupt changes in the atmospheric electric field, ensuring no weak electric field fluctuations during the lightning incubation stage are missed. Powered by 12VDC, the device boasts low power consumption and utilizes Modbus-485 communication, enabling stable uploading of monitored electric field data to a backend monitoring platform. Staff can remotely view real-time electric field values and trends.
In the meteorological monitoring industry, Lightning monitor devices are commonly deployed at various meteorological stations to conduct continuous atmospheric electric field monitoring over designated areas.
